A Nuit Blanche London Take-Away
I made the last-minute decision to get a little take-away printed to have on hand during Saturday's Nuit Blanche; mostly because I love a take-away, but also because my grandpa, the salesman, put the pressure on to get one made up, and to bring my business cards. After all of the effort to produce the sculpture itself I didn't event think to make one until the day of.
So, I quickly put a simple design together with a photo from my "good" camera, title information, short bio, and brief description of the work. I didn't proofread it, I figured whatever typo I made on such short notice was none of my business!
I sent it into staples for same-day shipping and was about to post it on the blog when I realized I sent it in with a very obvious typo. "A ighthouse lens..." "A IGHTHOUSE LENS!!!!!" ARE WE JOKING!!! The second word in a very obvious place! No way.
Luckily my girlfriend works in the same plaza as Staples and she was able to sort it out for me <3 on top of helping me transport my work to and from the event and running to get food and warm drinks all night. Not to mention the bouquet she made with my favourite flowers.
Okay so here you can see the take-away with the obvious typo, my business card that I made a few years ago (I love the design but it could use an update), and the bouquet! Plus an image of the fixed take-away at the event.

I loved seeing this piece in person! It looked so good at night. You made a fantastic thing! I'm looking forward to further expansions of this work :)
